In compliance at all times with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, published in the Official Gazette dated April 7, 2016, and numbered 29677 (“Law”), your personal data may be processed within the scope of this User Information Text by İstanbul Teknokent Joint Stock Company (“Teknokent” or “Company”) in the capacity of “data controller,” with your explicit consent where necessary or within the circumstances stipulated in the Law.

The purpose of this User Information Text is to inform you about your personal data processed by Teknokent under the Law, the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform published in the Official Gazette dated March 10, 2018, and numbered 30356 (“Communiqué”), and other relevant legislation.

The aim of this User Information Text is to provide detailed information regarding the processing of personal data collected from the members, users, and/or visitors (“User”) of the publicly accessible website/mobile application operated by Teknokent, available at https://entertech.com.tr.

For What Purpose Do We Process Your Personal Data?

To better serve Users and within the legal obligations arising from the Law and related legislation, your personal data (name, surname, date of birth, mobile phone number, email, gender, address, profession, education, marital status, information shared through social media accounts if linked, browsing and click information within the application, location data when opening the application) may be recorded on Teknokent’s mobile or web application for purposes including but not limited to:

  • Opening a User account on Teknokent’s website, creating and updating a username
  • Quality control and improving service quality
  • Informing Users about improved or newly developed products
  • Managing bulk electronic communications
  • Performing basic functions required for the website to operate
  • Analyzing the website to improve performance
  • Enhancing functionality and ease of use
  • Personalization, targeting, and advertising activities
  • Communicating with Users regarding contracts concluded under the Distance Sales Contract and the Law on Consumer Protection
  • Performing obligations arising from contracts
  • Compliance with legal obligations
  • Establishment, exercise, or protection of a right
  • Processing based on legitimate interests, provided that fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed

Your data will be processed for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes as per Articles 5 and 6 of the Law.

To Whom and For What Purpose May Your Personal Data Be Transferred?

  • Your collected personal data may be transferred, in line with the purposes stated above and to the extent required, to Teknokent’s domestic or international business partners, shareholders, suppliers, service providers, legally authorized public authorities, or private persons, in compliance with Articles 8 and 9 of the Law.
  • Personal data may also be shared with business partners and suppliers for purposes such as performance evaluation processes and their organization.

How Are Your Personal Data Collected and On What Legal Grounds?

Your personal data are collected by Teknokent through its website, mobile application, physical and email channels, and relevant departments. This collection is based on the data processing conditions and purposes stated in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law.

Security, Storage, and Disposal of Your Personal Data

Teknokent attaches high importance and sensitivity to the security and confidentiality of personal data. It takes necessary administrative and technical measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of personal data. If necessary, Teknokent informs both you and the Personal Data Protection Board in line with the Law.
Personal data are processed in compliance with the Law, related legislation, the Personal Data Protection Procedure, and the Personal Data Retention and Destruction Policy. Data will be stored for as long as required for processing purposes or for statutory limitation periods. When these periods expire, or upon your valid request, data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized in accordance with the Personal Data Retention and Destruction Policy.

What Are the Rights of the Personal Data Owner under Article 11 of Law No. 6698?

As per Article 11 of the Law, data subjects have the right to:

  • Learn whether personal data are processed
  • Request information regarding processed data
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether data are used appropriately
  • Know third parties to whom data are transferred domestically or abroad
  • Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data and notification to third parties
  • Request deletion or destruction of data when reasons for processing cease and notification to third parties
  • Object to outcomes against them arising from automated analysis
  • Claim compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing

Users acknowledge that maintaining the accuracy and currency of the information they share on the website is crucial for exercising their rights under the Law. They also accept responsibility for any issues arising from providing incorrect information.
