Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa is one of Turkey’s most established and respected higher education institutions. It was founded in 2018 as part of the restructuring of Istanbul University, whose historical roots extend back centuries.
Carrying Turkey’s pioneering academic legacy in the fields of health and engineering, IU-C blends its deep-rooted past with contemporary demands to take innovative steps in education, research, and societal contribution. Within the university, leading faculties such as the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Forestry, and Faculty of Engineering conduct scientific work at both national and international levels. As a research university, Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa plays an active role in Turkey’s development through its scientific output, technology transfer, internationalization strategies, and entrepreneurial vision.
