CONTINUING TO CREATE VALUE ON A GLOBAL SCALE

A comprehensive programme was carried out in London, spanning diplomatic engagements and international partnerships, academic collaborations, and participation in London Tech Week 2026.

The delegation, which visited London with the aim of fostering global collaborations and showcasing Türkiye’s technology-driven entrepreneurial potential on the world stage, included: Prof. Dr. Osman Bülent Zülfikar, Rector of Istanbul University and Chairman of the Board of Entertech Istanbul Technopark; Prof. Dr. Rabia Nergiz Dağoğlu Sakin, Vice Rector of Istanbul University; Prof. Dr. Erol İnce, Vice Rector of Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa; Associate Professor Dr. Ebubekir Mollaahmetoğlu, Member of the Entertech Board of Directors; Associate Professor Dr. Muhammed Kasapoğlu, General Manager of Entertech Istanbul Technopark; and Besim Müftüoğlu, Director of Istanbul TTO.

The first stage of the visit included official meetings with H.E. Osman Koray Ertaş, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to London, and Associate Professor Dr. Hasan Ulusoy, Consul General of Türkiye in London. During these meetings, Türkiye’s technology-driven entrepreneurial potential was presented, while comprehensive discussions focused on advancing the strategic ties established between the United Kingdom and Türkiye in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.

As part of the London programme, the delegation also met with key commercial and academic stakeholders across the innovation ecosystem. During the visit to MÜSİAD UK, which centred on entrepreneurship and investment, discussions were held with MÜSİAD UK President Türkan Akbaş on collaborative projects and partnership opportunities that would support the expansion of Turkish technology ventures into the UK market.

At the Yunus Emre Institute, meetings with London Director Mehmet Karakuş explored opportunities to strengthen the international academic ties of our universities and to develop joint research initiatives. Furthermore, a shared understanding was reached on organising future “Academic Gatherings” that will bring together Turkish academics, researchers, and postgraduate students based in the United Kingdom.

As part of its London programme, the delegation also attended London Tech Week 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious gatherings for technology, entrepreneurship, and investment.

Throughout the event, which brings together global technology leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs, the delegation closely followed a wide range of critical developments, from artificial intelligence and deep technologies to investment trends and international cooperation. Through engagement with leading stakeholders of the global innovation ecosystem, the event served as a significant platform for identifying opportunities that will support the international growth of ventures within the Entertech ecosystem.

The final stop of the London visit was our UK office, established in collaboration with YTU Yıldız Technopark. There, the delegation met with companies in which we have invested and which are building global success stories in the UK market. By listening directly to entrepreneurs about their current operations and growth journeys, the delegation gained first-hand insight into the dynamics of international markets and evaluated them collectively. Particular emphasis was placed on new support mechanisms and strategic cooperation channels to be offered to startups in the coming period.

All engagements undertaken throughout the London visit have laid a strong foundation for our technopark’s internationalisation objectives. We aspire for these strategic relationships cultivated across the spheres of entrepreneurship, investment, and academia to evolve into new partnerships, collaborative projects, and globally impactful ventures that create lasting value in the years ahead.
