Entertech Istanbul Technopark — jointly owned by Istanbul University and Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa — aims to generate technological knowledge, develop innovative products and production methods, enhance product quality, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and commercialize technological know-how.
In collaboration with Yapı Kredi Asset Management, the Technopark introduced the Entertech First Venture Capital Investment Fund (Entertech VCIF) during a launch event held at Wyndham Grand Levent, which drew strong interest from investors, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem stakeholders.
A Fund That Positions Investment as an Engine of Impact
The Entertech First Venture Capital Investment Fund seeks to provide financing, mentorship, and strategic connections to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The fund is designed not merely as a financial instrument, but as a catalyst that mobilizes the entire innovation landscape.
Opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Muhammed Kasapoğlu, General Manager of Entertech Istanbul Technopark; Müge Peker, General Manager of Yapı Kredi Asset Management; Prof. Dr. Nuri Aydın, Rector of Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa; and Prof. Dr. Osman Bülent Zülfikar, Rector of Istanbul University.
“A Powerful Platform Combining Knowledge, Dynamism, and Financial Expertise”
In his speech, Dr. Kasapoğlu emphasized that entrepreneurship has become a main driving force of the Turkish economy, stating
“The goal of Entertech VCIF is to invest a total of 500 million TL in 20 ventures over the next five years. Entertech VCIF represents a strong platform that brings together the 500-year knowledge legacy of our universities, the dynamic structure of Entertech, and the financial expertise of Yapı Kredi Asset Management.”
“Our Focus Is on Scalable and Sustainable Technology-Based Ventures”
Müge Peker, General Manager of Yapı Kredi Asset Management, highlighted the fund’s clear mission
“Our fund’s goal is clear — to stand beside technology-based ventures that have scalable and sustainable business models.
In doing so, we aim to strengthen Turkey’s capacity for innovative production by investing in startups operating in fields such as gaming, health technologies, artificial intelligence, advanced materials, and the creative industries. Yapı Kredi Asset Management will continue to support startups through our venture capital investment funds.”

Entertech VCIF focuses on investing in startups operating within strategic areas such as gaming technologies, health technologies, financial technologies, and renewable and clean technologies.
During the launch event, Pax Animi, which has already received a $250,000 investment from the fund, as well as potential investees Game Actor and Zenith, presented their ventures to investors and attendees.
A New Opportunity for Investors
Entertech VCIF will conduct a subscription period between November 15–30, open to all qualified investors — primarily including Technology Development Zone (TDZ) companies and R&D centers subject to a 3% investment obligation.
Through this opportunity, investors can become shareholders in high-growth technology ventures while also directly contributing to Turkey’s innovative production ecosystem.
All investment transactions during the subscription period can be carried out directly through Yapı Kredi branches, or investors may apply via the Entertech VC website to receive application assistance and process guidance
